Class A  RV for Auction. 2002 NEWMAR “Kountry Star.”  It is a diesel pusher with a Cummins engine. VIN # 4UZAAHBV82CJ84884. Odometer reading is:   125,441 miles.

This interior of this RV is in good shape for its age. The interior cabinets and furniture are solid without any rips or tears. The carpet has some stains. The stove, sink, refrigerator and freezer, toilet and shower are in good working order. The air conditioning works great on either plug-in 220 volt electricity or the included diesel generator, which itself works very well. Heating and cooking are propane and work well. Refrigerator and freezer run on either electricity or propane. A microwave oven works well on electricity. There is abundant storage. Queen size bed in back bedroom and the living room couch pulls out to a queen size bed. There are two slide-outs, both of which work. One is for the main living room and the other is for the bedroom. The seats are leather. The recliner behind the passenger seat does show quite a bit of wear, but there are no tears in the leather. The kitchen has a double sink.

The exterior has been exposed to the New Mexico sun and the finish is quite worn. Some of the lower outside cabinets do not lock closed, but have hardware attached to make sure they stay closed. There are dents, scrapes and tears in the lower exterior, but these are not from collisions with other vehicles. They have resulted from scraping tree stumps and posts, when taking the RV into back country where only a 4 wheel drive vehicle should go.  However, this does not affect the function of the RV. All tires are currently properly inflated and have never had any damage or flats, and the vehicle is quite drivable. Tires are aging and will need to be replaced before any long trips. Both front mirrors need attention and at least some degree of repair before any long trips. The vehicle was registered in North Carolina and the title is registered in North Carolina. The motorhome currently has an expired North Carolina license plate. The registration has expired, and the RV will require inspection by the NM Motor Vehicle Division and will need to be registered New Mexico. The owner has a clear title with no liens or other obligations. Both front mirrors have functional problems and will need repair or replacement prior to any long trips. There is a very old B&W backup camera system that works. A new color backup system has been installed, but the camera burned out on our last trip and will need to be replaced. There are no leaks in the rain.

Class A RV’s require a level platform for parking, and come with installed jacks which can be extended to level and stabilize the RV. The left rear jack has been removed for unrepairable failure to function, and we tried for two years to find a replacement, but such jacks are no longer manufactured. The other three leveling jacks work perfectly well. We have very heavy-duty hand jacks which can be placed under the chassis frame for additional stability when parked. This absent jack does not affect the safety or way the vehicle drives in any manner.

The built in propane tank holds 20 gallons and is approximately half full. The diesel fuel tank holds 100 gallons and is almost completely full. The freshwater tank reportedly holds 75 gallons and can be connected to an external freshwater line. There are both electric and propane hot water heaters which work well. Grey and black water tanks are believed to hold 75 gallons each and work well with no leaks.

The batteries are aging and the two batteries for the engine, lights and such functions do not hold a charge well because of their age and should be replaced. There are 4 additional batteries to power the coach interior lighting and they were replaced two years ago and are in fair condition. The battery tray needs cleaning, and the two batteries definitely need replacement. It has a “power boost” system which allows the 4 newer batteries to supply power to the engine and the engine starts well as long as the power boost switch is depressed while starting.
